Agriculture
In the field of agriculture, the Jharkhand government is doing a lot of important work in the interest of the farmers. Despite the Ranchi plateau region, the land here is suitable for agriculture. Here mainly people are dependent on rain in the form of Sichanai, but the river, the river is used. Many programs are being run by the government to promote agriculture.
The lower area provides suitable conditions for paddy cultivation. Provides high altitude gardens, millet and vegetable gardens and conditions for cultivation. Hydrology
Development of any area depends primarily on the quality of water as well as the amount of ground water and its distribution, it is the responsibility of Public Health Engineering Department (PHED-covered area of 50%) and RMC. The delivery system is outdated. The part under PHED is under rehabilitation.The present supply of Ranchi city is being made from three surface water sources i.e., namely: Kank Dam, Hatia Dam, Rukka dam, combined capacity of 246 MLD. The existing water distribution system is old and patches are being done in places with new pipelines. There are currently only 13710 domestic connections in the city, which is only 7.8% of the total estimated house of 1,74,750. Other sources of water supply in the city include 1718 number tube tube, 510 stand stand post, 35 number of wells in RMC area. Current water supply includes 65% of the population. (RMC and PHED estimate is 80%).
FLORA AND FAUNA
About 29% of the area is covered by forest. Natural vegetation is deciduous forest and is rich in the year (Soria robusta), which is a valuable hardwood. Other trees include Asana (Terminalia Tomatosa). The tree known locally as Mahua (Madhuka Langifolia) produces sweet food flowers, which is used for making liquor. Bamboo and Bhabar.
